Formulator
Dr. Andrew Brandeis, ND
Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine · Founder, OK Capsules
The supplements in every Duke of Herbs stack were formulated by a doctor who has spent his career asking one question: why do most supplements fail the people who take them?
His answer — wrong ingredients, wrong doses, wrong combinations, zero personalization — became the foundation of everything Duke of Herbs is built on.
Credentials built on verifiable science.
Dr. Brandeis earned his Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (ND) degree from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington — one of the most respected naturopathic medicine programs in the world and the first university of natural medicine to receive accreditation from the Council on Naturopathic Medical Education (CNME), a specialized accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
His interest in how supplements interact with the body started before medical school — working in a health food store as a teenager in New Jersey, developing an early, methodical understanding of what herbs and nutrients actually do, and why so few people take them correctly. He went on to complete a degree in nutrition and preventive medicine before earning his ND.
Bastyr's ND program integrates conventional medical sciences — anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology — with clinical training in botanical medicine, nutrition, and evidence-based natural therapeutics.

The observation that changed his approach.
After completing his training, Dr. Brandeis practiced at Care Practice in San Francisco — working alongside medical doctors and treating patients with both pharmaceutical and integrative approaches. What he observed in that environment shaped everything that followed.
Patients who came in with a history of consistent, quality supplement use supported the body's natural recovery processes in ways that were consistently observable across patient profiles. Not because supplements are magic — but because the right nutrients at the right doses, taken consistently over time, build the nutritional foundation that everything else depends on.
He also observed the inverse: patients who took supplements inconsistently, at random, with no personalization and no system to stay on protocol, saw little to no benefit. The problem was never the ingredients. It was the math — and the delivery.
"After a decade of treating patients, I am convinced that quality supplements, taken with regularity and at the right doses, have real long-term benefits. But I also saw that most supplements on the market weren't formulated to actually deliver those benefits. Wrong doses. Wrong combinations. No system to keep people on protocol long enough to see results. I built the infrastructure to fix that — because the science is there. The delivery system just wasn't."
— Dr. Andrew Brandeis, ND · OK CapsulesThree principles that never get compromised.
Dose Integrity
An ingredient listed on a label means nothing if the amount delivered is below what independent research identifies as effective. Every ingredient in a Duke of Herbs stack is present at a dose grounded in the research — not at the amount that fits a convenient serving size or an attractive price point.
Combination Science
Compounds interact. Some enhance each other. Some compete. Some require co-factors to be absorbed at all. Formulating a stack without understanding these relationships can actively interfere with nutrient absorption and undermine the benefit of ingredients that would work correctly in isolation.
Personalization as the Standard
A single formula for every man is not a formula at all. It is a compromise. The same nutrients produce different outcomes in different bodies — based on age, lifestyle, stress load, sleep quality, and individual nutritional demands. Matching the right stack to the right nutritional profile is the standard that clinical practice demands.
The formulator sets the science.
The E25 applies it to you.
Dr. Brandeis serves as the formulator for the Duke of Herbs stack system. His role is to establish the science — which ingredients are research-supported, at what doses, and in which combinations. Duke of Herbs applies that science to each customer's specific nutritional profile through the E25 Assessment.
What Dr. Brandeis Does
Establishes which ingredients are research-supported, at what doses, and in which combinations. Builds the formulary that every Duke of Herbs stack draws from. Sets the science that the system is built on.
What the E25 Assessment Does
Applies Dr. Brandeis's formulation science to your specific nutritional profile — based on your energy patterns, sleep quality, stress load, and recovery markers. The right stack, matched to the right person.
